This Wednesday night we move into the final letter of John—3 John with a message titled “Active Christ.” In this short but powerful letter, we’ll see what it looks like to live out the truth through action, support faithful ministry, and walk in love and integrity as followers of Christ. Join us as we explore how our faith isn’t just something we guard—it’s something we live out every day.

Hosea 14 is a beautiful invitation to come back to God. After warning and judgment, the Lord calls His people to return with humble hearts and sincere repentance. In this message, we see God’s mercy on full display—He heals, restores, and renews all who turn to Him. What was once broken can be made whole again.

After finishing our study through 1 John, we now move into the second of John’s short but powerful letters. This Wednesday night, Pastor Robert will begin walking us through the small book of 2 John in a message titled “Guarded Christianity.” Though only a few verses long, this letter carries an important warning and encouragement for believers. John calls the church to walk in truth and love, while also remaining guarded against false teaching that threatens the foundation of the gospel.

In this sermon on Hosea 13, Pastor Lloyd focuses on the anatomy of the heart and how quickly it can drift when it forgets the Lord. Israel prospered, but in the midst of success, the people became proud, self-sufficient, and turned to idols. This message stands as a solemn warning about the danger of pride and the deception of self-reliance. It is also a gracious call to return to God before it is too late. Even in judgment, His heart is still to restore.

This Wednesday night we come to the final study in our journey through 1 John. Pastor Robert will be looking at 1 John 5:6–21, with a message titled: "The Certainties of the Christian Life" In a world filled with confusion, doubt, and instability, God has not left His children guessing. He has given us assurance. The apostle John closes his letter by reminding believers of what we can know with certainty. If you have ever wrestled with doubt, questioned your assurance, or needed renewed confidence in your faith, we encourage you to come as we conclude this series. 

In this message, the unconditional love of God is emphasized. Though Israel betrayed the Lord by worshiping other gods and acting wickedly in His sight, He promises redemption and restoration. Pastor Lloyd highlights the difficult road ahead for Israel because of their sin, as God gave them over to their consequences and allowed them to be captured by the Assyrians. Yet God never lets His love go. He remains faithful to an unfaithful people and promises to restore them.

This Wednesday night we begin the final chapter of 1 John, and Pastor Robert will look at 1 John 5:1-5 with a message titled “The Birthmarks of Authentic Christianity.” As we continue our study through this powerful letter, the apostle John brings us back to a simple but searching question: What does someone who is truly born of God look like? In a culture full of spiritual claims, 1 John 5:1-5 helps us see what authentic Christianity actually looks like. John shows us that authentic Christianity is not just something we claim, it is something that shows. Where there has been new birth, there will be evidence. It reassures true believers while helping us examine the reality of our faith.
