As we wonder where everything is moving in today's culture, Pastor Lloyd takes us to Genesis to consider the original foundation that God gave. If we forget the original foundation or don't know it, we will drift. The culture of progressivism bullies its way through society but we can stand strong. This study takes a close look at the truths that are under unrelenting attack today and reminds us of seven foundational truths on which we cannot compromise beginning with gender, marriage and family.

We are all called to the great commission, a seemingly impossible task if not for the Helper, the Holy Spirit. Now, we look at the empowering He gives through the spiritual gifts as written in First Corinthians, Chapter twelve. Part of this chapter delivers a warning about not being ignorant or unaware where spiritual gifts are concerned. Learn more about your empowerment through the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Now we turn to Romans, chapter one, in our Looking Up Series. Pastor Lloyd continues to show how God has orchestrated His Word in such a marvelous way to give us certainty and confidence, seeing that prophecy has been given and fulfilled, leading eventually to the anti-Christ. As we read about false prophets and deceit, evil men deceiving and being deceived, we find that we must examine our own hearts that we would not also be deceived.

As we wait for the Lord to return and establish his kingdom, what are we to do and how are we to wait? Titus 2:11-14 provides a model and instruction to motivate us to holy living while we wait. This message continues to look at Biblical prophecy and current events to help us have a proper view of the age in which we live.

The Bible is a book of prophecy so we might know the omniscience and sovereignty of God. In this part of the Looking Up Series, we turn to the book of Daniel and the dream of King Nebuchadnezzar, a dream of future events and world empires. In this message, Pastor Lloyd is focused on the prophecies leading to end times and last days and a trend towards authoritarianism and globalism.

After serving in the Marine Corps. and being deployed twice to Iraq, Chris started to seek God, and gave his life to Jesus soon after. Being called to the pastoral ministry, he received his bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from Calvary Chapel University and is currently continuing his master’s degree in Biblical Theology.

He now serves as an Associate Pastor at Calvary Chapel Old Bridge, and oversees church security, Wired and Ushers ministries, Discipleship Home Groups, and pastoral care. Chris and his wife, Alicia, have one daughter, Rayna.

This series is a call to look up to Him who says, "I am God, and there is no other, there is none like me." If things seem out of place, be encouraged. God is a God of history and He is coming again and is sovereign over the cancel culture, China, Covid 19, war and peace deals and the conflict of good and evil. This study looks at the restoration God has promised in light of world history.

As we continue our examination of the Holy Spirit, we find our understanding is "off" unless we think of Him in the Biblical way as a divine person. This perspective compels us to ask not how can I get more of the Holy Spirit, but rather, how can the Holy Spirit have more of me. This is made more clear as Pastor Lloyd delves into Jesus' words from John, chapter fourteen and chapter sixteen. We also look at His personality by knowing His various names revealing His characteristics, His divine attributes and His very deity.
