Pastor Wes Bentley, a former Marine, first traveled to Africa in 1996 and later in 1998. Following much prayer, he formed what is today known as Far Reaching Ministries. He began by delivering basic provisions, along with hope, to predominantly Christian refugees in South Sudan suffering at the hands of Islamic jihadists.
Pastor Wes began a Bible school for South Sudan army chaplains and has since graduated ten classes with over 400 chaplains deployed throughout South Sudan. Currently, Far Reaching Ministries is ministering in seven of the ten most dangerous Muslim countries in the world.
