Mike is an active member of Calvary Chapel Hudson Valley where he has preached, taught and sings in ministry there. Having been delivered from a life of rebellion and destruction, Mike walks in the liberty that is found in Christ, helping and encouraging others to do the same.
Born in Brooklyn, Mike was raised by loving parents, but in his quest for freedom he embarked on a life of rebellion at the age of thirteen. Looking for fulfillment through adventure, he became progressively more rebellious, which led to incarceration for crimes such as stolen cars, possession of dangerous weapons and ultimately armed robberies. Mike squandered a large part of his life in institutions like NYS Division for Youth Facilities, Rikers Islands and infamous New York prisons like Attica and Sing Sing. Thirty-two years were served in the New York State prison system alone, until he was finally broken while serving a 25-50 year sentence. The incessant prayers of his Christian mother made serious inroads into his life. In his brokenness, Jesus became relevant and Mike gave his life to Jesus Christ.
