In this study we will look at spiritual gifts, who gives them and the importance of discernment and wisdom regarding them.

Paul goes into a different direction speaking of traditions in the church but more importantly the order that God has put into place from the beginning. The one thing we must understand in scripture, particularly in Paul’s writings, he speaks of things in their culture that may or may not apply in our culture today, but at the same time, there are biblical principles that do not change across all cultures and time.

A cry for what is coming for Israel. To lament is to have a passionate expression of grief or sorrow.

Paul gives us examples from Israel on how we should or should not behave as believers. We will look at communion, idolatry and once again look at our liberties and how they may or may not affect others.

In this study we will Paul defend his apostleship, and then show them that while as apostle, he should be receiving aid from the church the same as other apostles, but instead he worked with his hands taking nothing from them. We will see more of his reasoning and thought regarding these things.

In this chapter and next few chapters Amos is addressing Israel specifically. He calls them out, shows them how he has tried over and over

again to draw them back to Himself and how over and over they refused to return. Amos is basically saying, keep on doing what you’re doing,

and keep pretending you’re ok in your idolatrous practices, but judgment is coming.

In this study, Paul addresses another area that the church in Corinth has written to him about. Our liberty in Christ concerning food, but more importantly how our liberties are demonstrated toward others.

In this study Paul begins addressing specific things that the church wrote to him about.

In this study we will see Amos continue his focus on Israel and how their rebellion will bring God’s hand against them.

In this study Paul shows us that we are separated from the world by who we once were and who we are in Christ. He reaffirms the fact that we are no longer our own, so we need to stop living as though we were.
