1. Read together Psalm 1. What are the keys to a fruitful life in the Spirit? Do you see the connection to Matthew 3:12?

2. Review Galatians 5:22-23. How would the world define these fruits and how does the Word of God define them? There may not be drastic differences, but we need know the biblical definitions. (For example, the world would define love as the warm fuzzy feelings you have towards another person, the Word defines it differently in 1 John 4:7-10)

3. Is there anyone who would want prayer to receive the Holy Spirit or prayer for empowerment in an area of their personal life or ministry? Take time to lay hands on these people and pray for them.

4. Jesus’s main teaching about the Holy Spirit can be found in John 14:15-16:16 please read this section of scripture. What do we learn about the place and position of the Holy Spirit in our lives?

3. Read 1 Peter 4. As you look at this passage it speaks of turning from our previous lives to the life of God. What “fruit of repentance” do you see here? What “fruit” are you most lacking? Pray for each other in these areas.
