In the time frame of 2 Kings 14, about 700BC, Amos lived in Judah. But he ministered to point out the evils of Israel. There are many parallels to our time. Amos calls out those who ignore the word of God.

The book of Joel looks at the future to the time of Jesus, but also to the time of His second coming! It comes with a promise of the "overflowing" outpouring of the Spirit on God's people.
