Can you lay down your life for the Lord?

The Bible tells us that when the women arrived at the tomb early that first Easter morning they were shocked to find the stone rolled away and the tomb empty. Jesus had risen from the dead just as He promised. But have you ever wondered where He went? The Bible explains that upon rising from the dead Jesus ascended to His throne in Heaven and that He desires to take up residence in the heart of all who will believe in Him!

At the time, some viewed the Cross as a defeat. Not so! It is our greatest source of spiritual confidence. As fear and trembling were an OT hallmark of encounters with God, so Boldness and Confidence are cited in the NT with our encounters with Jesus! We come together for confidence in our Calling. Hebrews 12:1-2 cites our source of confidence as Jesus.

So many earthly signs give us direction in our daily lives while driving or walking, but God gives us more important signs to follow. With all that, how will you respond to the direction He gives? Will you choose to enter the thirty foot doorway? There’s room for all, but you must choose wisely and use Jesus as your door!

God wants you safe. He instructs us (Deuteronomy 22:8) to “build a parapet” or guardrail, to prevent us falling into sin. So, What’s it gonna take for you to do that? God wants YOU and yours. It’ll never be any easier than RIGHT NOW to be committed to serving God. While you’re at it, ask for a “double portion”! Act now with wisdom! (Ephesians 5:18-21)

Why (to reveal Himself, to redeem mankind).
