Words have the power of creation. Jesus is the Word of God. If we think of our lives as a field or a garden, there are areas in which we are glad to let Jesus garden. We are happy for him to prune and weed in our daily schedule, but we might not want him messing around with our hopes and dreams for the future. We might be happy to have him prune and weed in how we approach food, but not alcohol. Whatever it is, the encouragement from God to us in this message is, break up your unplowed ground. Let me into these areas so that I might bring life. Listen to my words and put them into practice.

And the principle from Joseph’s life and really from the whole series is, if you choose to be a righteous person, if you obey God and if you are willing to accept that most of us get assigned “behind the scenes” type roles God will accomplish great things through you and you will live an abundant life.
