A desperate father, a dying son, and a word spoken across miles. In John 4, a royal official travels to find Jesus and begs Him to heal his son. Jesus does not go with him. He simply tells the man to go home, that his son will live. The man believes and leaves, and his son is healed at the exact moment Jesus spoke those words. This account challenges us to consider what it really means to trust God before we see any evidence of His answer. Faith is not about demanding proof first. It is about obeying and then seeing. And sometimes the journey itself, with all its uncertainty and waiting, is the miracle.

The first miracle Jesus performed, turning water into wine at a wedding in Cana, was not primarily about solving a social problem. It was about revealing God's glory and producing genuine faith in those who witnessed it. Miracles are signs, wonders, and expressions of God's power, and they happen in His timing and for His purposes, not simply on demand. Even good things like family, health, and career can quietly become idols when they take the place of God in our hearts. Real intimacy with God requires more than presenting Him with a wish list. It requires surrendering our own agendas and asking what He desires. When we stop placing conditions on our obedience, we position ourselves to walk in the presence and power of God. And the greatest miracle of all is not a physical healing or supernatural provision. It is the salvation of a soul that was once spiritually dead coming alive through faith in Jesus Christ.
