In Luke 15, Jesus told the parable of the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the lost son (aka the prodigal son)

The Lost Sheep knows it lost, but doesn’t know how to find home.

The Lost Coin doesn’t know it’s lost.

The Lost Son knows it’s lost, but doesn’t want to be found.

It often takes a crisis for the prodigal to come to their senses and come home.

When they do come home, we want to have the heart of the loving father who welcomes them with open arms.

We won't accidentally see people come to Jesus.

It takes intentionality.

In Luke 15, Jesus told the parable of the lost sheep.

The shepherd goes after the missing because each individual has high value.

Storms are Coming

Jesus is with us in the Storm

There’s no storm that He can’t calm

Jesus has plenty of fans in the crowd.

He’s looking for followers who are willing to count the cost.

When approached by two men that wanted to follow Him, Jesus perceived hidden motives.

Was Jesus really their priority?

Is He our priority?

A leper came to Jesus and needing healing.

Jesus touched Him with His love and His healing power.

A centurion officer came to Jesus, recognizing Jesus’ authority.

Jesus, responding to his faith, healing the man’s servant with just a word.

Jesus can heal you with just a touch and just a word.

Are you tired, stressed, worn out, or worried?

“Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.””

Not every one who claims Jesus will enter Heaven.

Only those who do the will of the Father.

The wise person will build their house on the Solid Rock (these teachings of Jesus).

From the outside most houses look the same. You can’t tell the condition of the foundation until there’s a storm.

When your life is built on Jesus, when the storms come (and they will), your house will stand firm.

Jesus told us to ‘watch out’ for false prophets.

They’ll come in sheep’s clothing.

So we need to inspect their fruit.

Good fruit stirs a passion for Jesus and His Word.

As we become more like Him, we won’t be fooled by the frauds.

The women who came to the tomb were greeted by the angel who said:

1) Don’t Be Afraid 2) Come and See, and 3) Go and Tell

The invitation is there for us as well.

Jesus invites us to come and see the new life He has for us.
