Because He loves people, we love people and are called to tell others about Jesus.

In Psalm 67, God gives His plan for missions: Bless us, so that we can bless others and make His Name famous.

His last command ought to be our first concern.

Joshua has led the Israelites across the Jordan River.

They have set up memorials to remember to tell the generations of God’s goodness.

But before God gave them Jericho, they would need to hold up there end of the covenant by having all the males circumcised. They needed to consecrate the themselves to the Lord.

They encounter a prostitute woman, Rahab.

She shows kindness to them in exchange for protection when Israel takes Jericho.

She chose to accept God’s grace and put her faith in the God of Israel.

As a result, she and her family were rescued, I she became an ancestor to King David and Jesus Christ.
