hristians are being watched all the time. What do they say? How do they react? Do they get upset? Every moment of every day Christians are engaged in a struggle against the world, the flesh and the devil. And every moment is a turning point. Will they turn from sin and turn to God. Such turnings from sin to God are what the Scriptures call repentance. And it is the lifestyle of every believer in Jesus Christ.
Are you feeling trapped? Trapped in sin or situations? Or maybe you are simply frustrated with the way things are going? Does it seem as if the economy, or the internet, or even your relationships are stacked against you? If you have ever felt this way, you need to consider the fundamental question, 'where does sin come from?' James 1:13-18 tells us, but the answer may surprise you.
In the storms of life it is easy for us to panic. We get anxious about our problems and wonder how we will escape them. But the Christian believer trusts God to lead them through the storms. They know that the storm is part of God's plan to produce virtue in the Christian. So that even trials can be cause for us to have joy in God's attentive care for us. We can look at our storm-tossed lives and know the Lord leads us on; 'steady as she goes'!
To round out our conference on Holiness, the end of the book of Revelation reminds us of the forward expectation that all people ought to have--- that Jesus is coming again. If he is coming again in judgment, then 'what sort of people ought you be in lives of holiness and godliness' (2 Peter 3.11). The book of Revelation reminds us of our need for a Holy Saviour, and the plight of those who reject him.
