As the biblical record shifts now to Isaac and his sons we are confronted with not only a strange pregnancy but a strong warning about prioritizing the desires of the flesh over the desires of the Spirit.

As we get into today’s passage, remember Paul had planted this new church and was run out of town 3 weeks later by an angry mob that hated God. And this of course was on Paul’s mind and heart for the Thessalonians because they were still there in the midst of it!
