In the one great event of Noah's flood, we see the faithfulness of God to both judge sinners and save the righteous. As we see God's faithfulness to His promise then, we can be certain of His faithfulness to His promise in these areas in the future.

We all carry burdens of different kinds at different times in our life, and some are actually ordained by God. And while some temporary burdens are only between us and God alone, for most of them we are to seek out help through prayer with others. As we will see today each of us is called to help carry the burdens of those around us.

The character and integrity of Noah is an incredible contrast to the culture of Noah's day. One man remained steadfast with the Lord in the midst of a world that was in total rebellion to God. As we compare our day to this day and our lives to Noah's life, we are confronted with valuable insights for living.

It's always a good time to take spiritual inventory. Are you walking in the Spirit or the flesh? We need to pray to the Lord each day to give us a desire to walk in the Spirit, and then take action by repenting from the sin that causes us to walk in the flesh, and turn it all over to the Lord.

Though the seed of Cain's family line found itself moving further and further away from God, we see that God wasn't fazed one bit. God had another plan to bring a new seed that would provide the One who would crush the serpent's head. We learn from the beginning, though evil may abound, God's purposes can not be stopped.

Each day we have a choice in how we will live. Will we choose to nourish the Spirit by being in God's Word and prayer, or will we feed our flesh and distance ourselves from the things of the Lord? Pastor Mark shares some of the results from walking in the flesh and walking in the Spirit.

In the lives of Cain and Abel, we find two approaches to worshipping God that still exist today. One is accepted by Him and the other is considered worthless in His sight. As we look at these two lives, let's examine our own to determine whether we are the kind of worshippers that God accepts.
