To be amazed is to encounter something so impressive, unexpected, or extraordinary that it shifts your focus entirely. As we contemplate Jesus we should be amazed.

Believers will experience the beauty of the Spirit-filled church as they gather together and scatter together. When we commit to this Spirit-filled community, we will experience belonging, find a place to use our gifts, and thrive as we are transformed. 

Because the Father has given us His own presence through the Holy Spirit, we are empowered by His Spirit, rather than our effort, to live as witnesses of the Gospel who make disciples.

Although a community of faith has diverse gifts, passions, callings, and ministries they are one united body.

Because Christ holds all authority, commands every follower to make disciples, and promises His Presence to the end of the age, we are empowered, commissioned, and sustained as Jesus-followers to be disciples and make disciples.

Spiritual disciplines are a means to grow as disciples of Jesus. Today, we learn about the spiritual disciplines of Bible learning, contemplation and prayer and their value in our spiritual growth.

Calvary Nexus’ mission flows from the Great Commandments: to love God supremely, love neighbors as self, and the Great Commission to make disciples (who do likewise). Today, we will learn a process that will allow all of us to engage in this mission and grow in Christ.

Because salvation is accomplished by Christ rather than earned through human effort, believers are transformed by the Holy Spirit to bear spiritual fruit, do good, and boast only in the cross of Christ. This is how true freedom is experienced.

Believers who walk in step with the Holy Spirit will increasingly display the fruit of the Spirit that reflects God’s character, reject the sinful desires of the flesh, and live in the freedom that Christ offers.
