As we begin our study in the fourth book of the Pentateuch we have to ask ourselves why count all these people? Because people count! This book is full of the mercy of God as He puts up with mistakes and failures of the children of Israel. We can learn a lot about His long-suffering towards us during our own wilderness wanderings.

The one thing we have realized over this past year is that we are undoubtedly in the final days before the Lord's return. As we get to celebrate Christmas Day on a Sunday we are going to look at His glorious appearing to the shepherds and see how it applies to His glory shining in us and soon to be shown to those waiting for Him.

As we finish the book of Leviticus we have to ask the question, are there blessings for obedience? It is very interesting how this relates to a New Testament truth. We cap it off talking about one of the themes of the book...redemption!

Who are the wise men and should we care? We can learn a lot from these men that traveled very far to see Jesus. They sought Him out and worshiped Him. Are we seeking Him today? If we are wise, we are!
