So we are still talking about composition within photography and one of the 8 principles I read in na article, says that movement is one of them.
I believe it can be, but it also depends on a great many factors within the images as well.  Listen and you will hear what I am talking about.

The 8 principle of composition in Art is a very interesting way of looking at how to improve your composition. Its part of a larger article I read, which I may continue to pull apart and discuss here, but for now we are talking about this one part.
Focus is #3 in is list of 8 and I think it doesn't necessarily have to be that important. What od you think? Let me know in the comments below.

To continue on with the conversation about filters and the "idea" of "straight out of camera", I talked with John Lamont. John is more of the creative side (I think he is anyway) when it comes to photography, and I wanted to hear what he thought about the subject.

John is really one of my favorite people to talk photography with and to even go out with because is eye, just as one of our younger members, seeing things vastly different and takes on "projects" that are of the most interesting type. He uses photography as a way to express himself, and that is where the creativity of photography changes.

A few days ago a great topic was brought up on the Sun Chasers page in regards to filters and people posting images "straight out of the camera".

There are some great views on the subject, one of which came from Rick Berk a photographer that I think a lot of us know here. He moved up to Maine a few years back but does keep in touch with a lot of us so I thought talking with him about this subject would be great for the podcast.

Now like I said, Rick is in Maine and I am here on Long Island so there re a few sports during the interview where the sounds gets a little wonky, so stick with it. I think my internet connection isn't the best for long range interviews via Zoom, but its still a great conversation.

So how do you deal with being frustrated while out in the field? I know that I struggled with it, a lot, when I was away the shooting in the Ithaca area. I think it got the better of me because I felt "off" almost the entire trip, but I was able to get a few images.
