On December 9th, 2001, novelist Michael Peterson found his wife Kathleen Peterson at the bottom of the staircase inside their mansion in Durham, North Carolina. His frantic 911 call would begin a murder investigation & a dramatic trial full of so many twists and turns that our heads are still spinning, and heated debates over this case continue 20+ years later. In 2016, on a rural country road in Ohio at the end of the summer, 20-year old Sierah Joughin kissed her boyfriend Josh goodbye and continued on riding her bicycle, just one half of a mile away from home. Sierah was never seen alive again, and Fulton County was about to be rocked by the revelation that a monster had been lurking in their midst for years.
