In this week's episode of CamTalks, I'm talking to Ben Westaway, lead guitarist of Bring Your Sisters, a hugely popular cover band who have performed electrifying shows in remote places around the world, including our lovely island called Alderney. I wanted to speak with Ben because I've seen him perform countless times and wanted to find out what it takes to captivate audiences as he does with his band. Ben's also passionate about radio and audio storytelling, for which he was one of the inspirations for me starting this podcast! It was an absolute pleasure to record with Ben and we spoke about his passion for guitars, Alderney, marathon running, getting engaged, mountain climbing and Harry Potter. This week I spoke with my good friend and personal development coach, Matt Sandrini. Since working with Matt, I've learned how to manage my priorities and block out enough time to create a balanced lifestyle (balanced ish). He's one of the most productive people I know and his commitment to achieving his goals is truly inspiring. He's an award-winning book author, recently ran a marathon and is in training to break a world record for the most amount of knuckle push-ups in a single minute. He's also the host of his a podcast called Resolve, which is a show that helps you figure out how to make the impact you want. I enjoyed talking about his target of speaking to 300 women in a year as well as discussing the finer things in life! This week I spoke to Luke Swann, a social entrepreneur and book author who started The Prologue, a company that educates and inspires children to develop a purpose through storytelling. Luke's company aims to empower children through reading and writing in schools. Having met Luke whilst working in a co-working space in Manchester I've realized that there's no one more passionate about children's education and empowerment and his entrepreneur of the year awards shows this. He's an incredibly kind-hearted and open individual who understands the power of positivity. In this podcast, we talk about ways the school system has changed and asked the question of how to find a purpose in life. He's given me some awesome feedback on my approach to teaching and made me look at education in a totally different way. I loved talking to Luke and so if you'd like listening to this conversation, support CamTalks by leaving a rating or follow me on social.
