It is our second guest of the season and this time Eve has roped in her wonderful mate Morgan for this better zzz's challenge.
Morgan is very open with the fact that he has suffered with disrupted sleep for many years and so we thought he would really appreciate us trying to boost his snoozing habits.
Sleep, or the lack thereof, is something that many of us can relate to. With our 24-hour lifestyles driven by various stimulants many of us have got completely out of sync with our natural circadian rhythms which govern the sleep-wake cycle. The more we are beginning to comprehend just how much of a critical role it has on our overall health and wellbeing, the more we have a greater need to invest in having sufficient amounts and quality of sleep. Optimising our sleep schedule can be part of cultivating habits that can make our sleep more enriched and seamless and this is why we have set this challenge for Morgan.
The rules: Morgan has to follow the principles of the sleep hygiene method for 2 weeks which includes having fixed wake and bed times, allowing a window of winding down before bed, minimising alcohol, sugar and caffeine and having a curfew on devices.
Can this be the thing that finally helps Morgan reset his sleeping patterns for the longer term? Or does the modern world and the myriad devices sabotage his greater efforts?
