Can Indiana Sneak Into NCAA Tournament? Tom Crean Joins!

(00:00-35:12) – Query & Company opens on a Thursday with Jake Query and producer Eddie Garrison highlighting last night’s win for the Pacers over the Wizards. Tom Crean joins the show and compliments Matt Painter for how he has adapted from year-to-year without using the transfer portal. Crean admits that he is still open to coaching but doesn’t have interest in going to a school where he has to pound his against the wall for support. Finally, he assesses if the SEC is here to stay as one the dominant conference in college basketball and shares what Thomas Bryant has told him about his experience with the Pacers.

(35:12-36:42) – After a lengthy conversation with Tom Crean, Jake shares some of his takeaways from their conversation.

(36:42-50:05) – The first hour of the show concludes with Jake and Eddie discussing last night’s overtime win for the Indiana Pacers over the Washington Wizards with Bennedict Mathurin and Obi Toppin taking over in the second half. They debate if Mathurin should remain on the bench or go back to the starting lineup.

(50:05-1:17:39) – The IndyStar’s Joel Erickson joins the program to evaluate the quarterback competition options for Anthony Richardson this upcoming season. Additionally, he thinks that they are far off from being a competitive playoff team, compares how the Philadelphia Eagles built their team to how Chris Ballard wants to build the Colts roster, and reveals if he has ever been on the jumbotron.

(1:17:39-1:26:40) – Before the show, Jake and Eddie, had a conversation about Indiana’s NCAA Tournament chances if they defeat the UCLA Bruins tomorrow night. They compare IU’s resume to some of the teams that are on the outside looking in for the dance.

(1:26:40-1:37:26) – Hour number two concludes with Jake asking Eddie about his Valentine’s Day plans. He also has Eddie quiz him on his 1980’s NCAA Tournament Final Four knowledge.

(1:37:26-2:05:00) – Tony East from Locked On Pacers joins Query and Company to opine on last night’s win for the Pacers, explains why the team has struggled since the start of the west coast trip, believes that Myles Turner’s value has risen with him being out, examines the future of Isaiah Jackson with the Pacers, and labels Tyrese Haliburton as the player that most needs a break because he has not been able to rest in two years.

(2:05:00-2:14:16) – Jake replays a portion of his conversation with Tom Crean earlier in the show and then reacts to what Crean said about Indiana.

(2:14:16-2:25:35) – Today’s show closes with Jake and Eddie discussing the future of Aaron Rodgers in the NFL and JMV joining the guys in studio to preview his show!
