The January recruiting period is over and we're into the dead period for Penn State Football recruiting. However, there's plenty of news coming up in the next few days for top recruits who are cutting their lists of schools after Junior Day visits. Will Penn State make the list for it's top targets? Penn State Recruiting January Recap

With a deep playoff run taking up the first half of the month, Penn State missed out on some of the recruiting calendar to start the new year. While any team would trade the opportunity at a national championship for a weekend or two hosting prospects, it limits the time and players the team could meet. So, with all that considered, how did Penn State do in January? Recruiting experts Sean Fitz and Ryan Snyder discuss the team's progress in the past month and recap the major events that happened over the previous few weeks. 

NIL Conversation from Pete Nakos

On3 national reporter Pete Nakos surveyed anonymous NIL executives and staffers from several of the major conferences to get a lay of the land for how much teams spent this past season on recruits and in the portal. He also got an idea of what the going rate for certain positions is and where those numbers are heading. Of course, we'll relate these topics and conversations to Penn State football and where it stands in the new NIL environment. 

Can the team keep up with the rising rates of players? Given the situation last year, how much more impressive is the team's run to a final four? We'll discuss those ideas and put the situation into context for fans. 

Top targets cutting list of schools, 2025 review

Finally, we'll discuss the upcoming announcements from top targets this month. Players like Alex Haskell and Davion Brown are narrowing their list of potential schools. Did Penn State make the cut? We'll discuss the future of the team while taking one last look back at the Class of 2025, with the traditional national signing day happening yesterday.
