Guily pleasures galore - Janet and Clio discuss the fact that Spain is now welcoming British tourists, with no restrictions nor conditions on coming into Spain, and then the two indulge their utter love of the Eurovision - it might be over but they have to mull over the night, the winner, the losers and why the voting methodology has to change. See, all the important stuff in today's Canary Cast. 

The serious stuff today is on emigration, vaccination, vacations and comuinidades - and of course there's a Eurovision song too. Janet and Clio need their music!

Janet Anscombe and Clio O'Flynn try and make sense of the rules and restricitions in place in the Canary Islands now that the state of alarm at national level has officially ended. There's a bit about travel and also an update on the search for two missing children. 

Today Cheryl explains to Janet and Clio and everyone else how she managed, in just a few bureaucratic dance steps, to get herself and her husband registered as public health patients here making them now eligible for  vaccination. 

So, Clio and Janet with the lastest on the local vaccine rollout - and Karen Cochrane with a brilliantly concise intervention on why you need to check if you have to make a tax declaration this year even if you haven't been working but receiving the ERTE furlough payments. Boring maybe, but it's kind of really important. 

It's all about the vaccination roll-out today. Janet and Clio talk through efforts to get privately insured patients onto a vaccination schedule here in the Canary Islands.  As neither can stray too far from the Eurovision, the podcast ends with this year's entry from Iceland, Clio's Nº1 pick, " 10 Years " by  Daði Freyr andGagnamagnið.
