Today we are talking to Meg Faure about how Neuroscience impacts Childcare. Meg is an Occupational Therapist (OT) with a passion for the care, development, and education of babies and young children. Knowing that parenting is the toughest calling of all and that the early years massively impact life, Meg has made it her life's work to touch the lives of parents and their young children. As a mum to three children, Meg found that her passion was to take neuroscience and research and make it practical and accessible to impact the human journey in the formative years. Meg provides support through her books, parenting applications, and courses from pregnancy and early childhood. Through to early years education through the Play Sense programme. Meg has worked in various clinical settings, including a pediatric rehab facility in New York, private practice, and a school for children with special needs. As a journalist, speaker, and author in child psychology, parenting, and child development, she has written eight parenting titles, including the bestseller Baby Sense. As an entrepreneur, Meg founded the product company Baby Sense and, in 2020, launched her parenting mobile application, Parent Sense – covering all aspects of development, feeding, sleep, and health with daily bespoke routines for 0-12 months old.

Annie Delaney is the Co-Founder and CEO of Rayz Kidz, an app that is an all-in-one tool for high-quality childcare and family management. She’s a Mom on a mission to improve the childcare experience at home for parents, caregivers, and children. She was so passionate about this that she left her 13-year career in corporate America, having worked for several years as a CPA at a public accounting firm, followed by a career at a large US beverage manufacturer in process improvement and the supply chain. After spending over a year designing and building the app, the Rayz Kidz app launched in May 2021. Annie and the team have continued to expand on features that best service the nanny community, their employers, and their nanny kids. Franny has devoted her career to the household employment industry, passionate about community and childcare. With over 16 years of experience, she has used her education in psychology and child development to work with families in various employment settings, from traditional nanny roles to specialized work with neurodiverse children. An active member of her local nanny community, she has given talks at National Nanny Training Day and participated in childcare social groups/book clubs. Along

Today we are talking to Yvonne Finnerty about upskilling Nannies.

Born and educated in London, England, Yvonne has been in childcare for over 30 years. In 2005 she was selected to be one of the stars of a television show called Nanny 911. This was a show syndicated in over thirty countries. For seven years, Yvonne wrote a parenting column for a leading Boston newspaper and appeared as a childcare expert on Fox and NECN, answering questions sent in by viewers. Yvonne has been employed by a High Net Worth family in Boston for the past fourteen years. Yvonne is looking to relocate back to the UK to be with her family.

Rachel is passionate about the nanny industry, and her work shows it. From attending and speaking at industry conferences put on by iNNTD, Nannypalooza, INA, APNA, and USNA, to speaking with smaller groups via webinars, her focus is always on education and improvement. Rachel believes that when we know better, we tend to do better, so knowledge is the natural first step to change. She focuses on educating household employers and employees, about why legal pay and adhering to labor laws is so important. She also works to encourage the industry as a whole to strive for higher industry standards.

Rachel’s passion and knowledge come from a solid 15-year foundation in the industry, in a variety of roles. Her career began as a nanny, later moving on to work for local and national placement agencies own a boutique nanny agency, and work as the Operations Manager for the International Nanny Association, all before joining the HomeWork Solutions team in 2019. As a working mom with three children, she has also been a nanny employer.

She is also involved in the non-profit side of the industry, serving as the treasurer and board of directors member of the INA. She is also the founder of FairAndLegalPay.com, a coalition designed to raise awareness about the need for legal pay in the industry.

Her diversified work within the industry allows her to see things through a multifaceted lens, giving her a unique vantage point to consider all parties involved when addressing industry topics.

Madison worked on yachts for seven years and recently made the move back home to Chicago.
