Arsenal win 2-1 at home in the North London Derby! A fully deserved victory for the gunners, and finally a result to match the performance. It was a day that was only made better by the delicious salty tears of Jose and Spur's unlikable cuntly crew. We talk through all that, a few specific player performances, and the only "negative" drama of the day surrounding the Auba situation. The club finally making progress culturally is a welcome change! Listen in and leave a review!
Arsenal drew away at Burnley this past matchweek. It had all the hallmarks of a classic Arsenal game: Throwing away a lead, not taking chances, huge error costs us, and the referee & VAR blew a massive call not to give Arsenal a penalty that would have won the game. All of this shit featured! So listen in and commiserate with us, and hopefully its cathartic for us all. Leave a review!
A very positive end to the week! After Arsenals heroic comeback in Europe midweek, the gunners did it again at the weekend against an impressive Leicester side. Willian finally had a good game. Pepe stepped up and deserves to play more?! We think so! An all around positive result, as Arteta got the job done, and got to rest some vital players ahead of another busy fixture list coming up. Arsenal fall to Man City (again) 1-0, but theres a bit more to pick through in this one, compared to recent meetings. After a really rough start, Arsenal settled into the game reasonably well, but we didnt seem to quite go for it as the game wound down. Roll on Thursday and a massive Europa League game against Benfica. We hit on that, what our lineup might be, and whether or not Arteta missed a trick by having a few key players play the full 90 this past weekend. We missed a couple games, we know, we know. But we're back to touch on those disappointing results briefly, before getting to the MEAT of this podcast; and that was Arsenals's convincing 4-2 win at home against Leeds. An encouraging lineup, and an encouraging full debut from Arsenals January signing. We survived a late consolatory brace of Leeds goals, and see the game out comfortably overall, while putting an end to the recent run of unlucky and bad results. Listen in and leave a review!
Back after an unexpected weeklong hiatus! We discuss the 0-0 draw at home to Manchester United, an interesting one with a lot of discussion points, as well as quickly touching on the closing of the transfer window. I think its fair to say Arsenal got a lot done, mostly good, but will we regret sending Maitland-Niles out on loan? Time will tell, but its encouraging to see Arsenal playing well and doing sensible things as a club. Carry on lads!
Back to winning ways in the league for Arsenal with a 3-0 home win over Newcastle. Arsenal put in a much more convincing 90 minutes than in the FA Cup this go around, and a dazzling display saw Arteta's men up into the top half of the table going into a very difficult run of games. We talk about the return of Thomas Partey and how transformational he can be for an already improving midfield, as well as the growing influence of our Hale End baby boys. All the while our captain finds his shooting boots with a couple of fine goals. Rate and review and share with you friends!
And back down to earth with a disappointing draw, at home to Crystal Palace. Some familiar failings in this one, and a few players showing their bad sides. All in all one thing is for sure, Arsenal look better when they move the ball quicker! We're lookin at you David Luiz...Tune in and give the show a rating on Itunes if you haven't already, we love our listeners who have done that more than the rest, and we're not shy about saying it. Love love love love love love.
Another day another win. Why do we even bother anymore? Arsenal are obviously storming back to win the league the second half of this season! In all seriousness, we talk some players who shone brightly in this Lovely FA Cup win over the mighty (and boring) Newcastle; as well as some players who had a chance to stake a claim to some more game-time, and didnt take the opportunity. We also talk some fun and encouraging squad building points as we continue all aboard the Mikel Arteta express. Choo Choo muhfugguh!
Another win, and this was a big one! Well two wins I suppose. We quickly touch on the mid-week Brighton game before diving into the beauty that was that West Brom game. We discuss Smith-Rowe's continued influence over this team, and how its rubbing off on those around him. Also, that Tierny goal, come on. Oh and what about that Saka goal?!? Lovely to have some beautiful and effective football back, lets keep this up lads!
