This week, Bryan leads a reflection on 1 Corinthians 6:12 “'I have the right to do anything,” you say—but not everything is beneficial. “I have the right to do anything”—but I will not be mastered by anything." He explores the question "What does real freedom look like in the Kingdom of God?"
This week Bryan, Shayla and Michelle have a conversation on giving ourselves away as Jesus commissions His followers to do. They touch on the barriers we often face, reflect on the effects of gratitude, and share where they are personally being nudged by the Spirit to pour out! Give it a listen.
As followers of Jesus, we must learn to wait on the Lord. We learn to slow our pace, to not get ahead of His will, and to seek His voice. This week Bryan guides a reflection on this very theme of waiting.
As we enter into the fall season, we take a moment to remind ourselves of Canopy's calling and mission. This week we are reminded that Jesus commands us to wait before we witness.
This week, Michelle guides us in the practice of Lectio Divina through John 21:15-19 which was taught on last Sunday.
This week pastor and friend, Jonny Hughes taught on the life of the disciple Peter. Despite denying the master Jesus, Peter is encountered by His grace and love that covers all sin. We can often find ourselves like Peter, distancing ourselves from Christ to protect ourselves from pain or disappointment. His abundant grace meets us where we are.
