Nanaimo is losing two of its Indigenous-led schools: the Tsawalk and Nisaika Kum’tuks Learning Centres. We speak with Capital Daily reporter Jolene Rudisuela about what the schools meant to students, why they’re closing, and the important role that language plays in revitalizing First Nations languages and culture.
