Episode 494:
NYCFC entered Gillette Stadium on Saturday night fresh off a victory against a strong Philadelphia side and hoped to carry that momentum on the road in Foxboro. Unfortunately New England had other thoughts and the performance from NYCFC was simply not good enough as eloquently shared by the captain, “We need to be better.”
The sad part of that quote is that there was no further follow-up given and honestly not even needed. It was poor all around and the team knows it.
This week Mike Anderer, J.R. diBart and Mike Allen take a look back at the track record of David Lee as a Sporting Director. They also share their thoughts on what separates good players from great players as they look towards the rest of the season hoping for reinforcements to arrive in July.
