Hello great people of the #afritunes community. I'v come to share my happiness and love for the community and I hope we are all having an excellent day.

This is my entry for the Afritunes weekly event, week 176.

For this week's contest, I decided to cover this afro beat song titled “Kolomental” by a Nigerian artist, Victony.

It's a cool song that any afro beat lover will always vibe to anytime it's played.

I'v had amazing moments with this song at parties, birthdays and it's almost becoming part of me. While covering the song, I was filled with joy and anyone can literally see that from my facial expressions and gestures.

Victony has many other amazing songs which I would be covering in the subsequent levels of this Afritunes contest. It's basically a song of peace and avoidance of every form of malice, fight, jealousy or enmity but encouraging personal peace of mind and cool living.

VIBES! VIBES!! VIBES!!!

It's another great week on the Vibes Web3 Music Contest on Hive Blockchain. For this week 31 Vibes music contest, the theme had made everyone practice and showcase our talents on covering 2000s songs and it's a big opportunity for me.

Before I go ahead to talk more about my choice of song, I would love to let you know the song I presented in this video.

For this week number 31, I chose to make a cover of a song titled “Holy Father” by Mayorkun and featured by Victony. Check the video out and I'm sure you'll “vibe” with it.

Other weeks of this contest when the theme is about 90’s kind of songs, it leaves me with great pressure. As a student who's preparing for a professional exam, posting on hive is most times difficult for me because I need more attention to the library. So whenever the theme is such that I have to spend time learning those “old, slow” songs, it leaves me with the pressure of trying to find free time for myself to learn songs.

That's why I'm so happy to discover that this week's theme is about 2000’s kind of songs because it's far way easier for me to cope with since I do vibe with such songs.

I have some good reasons for choosing this “Holy Father” song for my entry to this week 31 Vibes Web3 Music Contest. One of the reasons is the instrumentals. The beat is “maddd”. Guys!! Try listening to this video with headphones and tell me you wouldn't love it any more, I guess you'll even add the song to your playlist, lol.

Victony is one of my favorite artists, for week 30, the song I covered was also Victony’s. The lyrics are cool and not abusive, violent or meaningless. It's a song I would love to present as much as I can till I feel I've made a reasonable number of people love it.

It's one of my favorite songs, so I decided to make a cover of it and I hope you enjoyed watching my video.

Growth is one of the virtues that can't be separated from nature. Everyone and everything wants to grow. When I mean everyone, I'm referring to a person or group of persons and for everything, I mean animals. Any business without growth (profit) will definitely crash someday and that's why some businesses go ahead to advertise their products and services.

All this I've just said is pinned down to the need for Vibes Web3 Music Contest to grow. As a community, we become stronger as we grow both in number and in resources. And I'm happy that the administrators and curators of this great community have made it mandatory for everyone to kind of advertise “Vibes Web3 Music Contest” by regularly sharing their updated promotional videos on social media pages (and on hive as well).

Anytime I publish my entry for the Vibes Web3 Music Contest on Hive, to me it's always a big achievement because it's not “beans” to record a music video considering my kind of environment.

Few days ago, I actually did a review of the winners of last week's vibes music contest and while doing the review, I had to refer to many of the Judge's criterias for winning the contest. The review didn't only expose me to what the winners did right to capture the Judge's attention and love for their entry or their flaws, but taught me how to make better entries in the long run.

For this week, week number 29 of the vibes contest, I decided to go with this song, “Meet You at the Graveyard” by Cleffy. Still trying to refer to the Judge's criterias, I can remember one of the points that emphasizes the backstory behind the song performed. For me, this song reminds me of the time I lost my Dad, my courage. I thought I had lost everything in life but I'm happy I've moved on today.

The song is a sad song though but I sing it not only when I'm sad but it keeps that memory refreshed in me. I can remember how my Dad used to tell me that I would grow up and become a rich man, buy him cars and everything he would ask for because I will surely have enough money, but sadly, Dad left us. This sad story of my life is pictured in the song when Cleffy said in the lyrics:

>”Was all plans in vain ? Our memories to make, I can see them slowly fading”

I actually decided to sing the song in this period because this is the month he was buried and the day I felt the deepest pain of life. The pain was thick and I felt it, it wasn't easy to withstand, especially as a kid I was then.

May his soul rest in perfect peace 😔.

So after I had done my best in recording my video and doing some edits, I felt I'm good to go with the posting.

Good day dear friends of the #vibes community. It's a pleasure having to share my amazing entry for the present music contest in the community, the Vibes Web3 Music Contest Week Number 28.

For this week of the contest, I decided to go for a song I learned a long time ago. The song is titled, “Can't be Replaced” by Juice World. This song has many messages to pass to its listeners and I had my reason for choosing it.

It's a song of love, hate, heartbreak and some kind of depression.

I decided to post my entry for the contest very early (some few days/hours after the winner's announcement) because I can't afford to miss any of the Vibes Music Contest. I've actually been a participant of the contest from round 4 or 5 I guess, and I haven't skipped any till date. But my problem with posting at times is procrastination. Making a single video costs me a lot of dedication.

So in all, I've just been joyous because I've freed my mind from that feeling of “is the contest still on, when will I make my entry?” and all of that.

In addition to just making my entry for the contest, I also in a way tried my best to see if I can bring some people (non members) into the contest and I feel an updated, comprehensive and convincing promotional video would be perfect.

It's another great week friends, a week to share what we've got when it comes to the world of music and arts. This week has been kind of stressful for me, trying to cope with life and balancing my activities on hive and school just makes me often feel like I'm going to crash someday but I'm happy I'm still standing.

For this week, I decided to make the cover of a song titled “Lo Lo” by Omah Lay, a Nigerian artist. I'm damn in love with this guy's songs because he is a guy of variety. What do I mean? He sings different songs that can fit one's mood at every moment of life, at times of crush, heartbreak, loneliness or happiness.

I had an opportunity to join the announcement of the winners of last week's contest on the X space via the link dropped by @verbal-d on the Whatsapp platform and truly speaking, I learned a lot. The winners’ entries and that of the honorable mentions motivated me.

As the year is almost coming to an end, I've begun to make plans on how to make a more “open-to-audience” promo video for the vibes contest. Through my promo video which I often share on my WhatsApp status and X profile, I was able to bring in two of my friends to the vibes community and they have made their amazing entries as well, @jackiej has done the needful for the present week while @.felixanthony did for the last week and yet to do for the present week.

Music is life, no one can argue that. It's as old as man and can never end because every life activity has some form of music in it.

Good day dear friends in the #afri-tunes community. This is @captainman and I just made my entry for the Afritunes weekly music contest week 135.

Having the opportunity to find a place like this community has been my gladness as my love for African music can be finally displayed for everyone far and wide.

For this week's contest, week number 135, I sang a song titled “SHINE”, by Johnny Drille. Johnny Drille is a Nigerian artist, one of my best Afro-artists. He majorly sings songs of love and his songs are cool.
