Capy's Cozy Chair

Today I'm reviewing the first in J.R. Mathis Father Tom Mystery series. This book follows in the tradition of great crime solving clergymen and you'll enjoy getting to know Tom as not just a crime solving priest, but as a human with a painful past. Well written and highly surprising I was captured from page 1.

When a wealthy woman is poisoned it's up to Hercule Poirot to figure out who the guilty party is. Was it her much younger husband? or was it one of her children? This is the first of Christie's mysteries to feature the eccentric Hercule Poirot, and while it is dry at points it is a good mystery.

This movie had so much potential as a satire of the mystery genre if only politics hadn't gotten in the mix. Strong language and over the top acting also resulted in a movie that failed to hold my interest all the way through.
