Caramuel

Este podcast es una especie de hermanamiento entre dos programas radiofónicos. Una singular selección musical por Gustavo desde Argentina y Eva de Caramuel desde Radio Kolor, España. Similares gustos musicales nos llevan a hacer un programa en común. A pesar de la distancia, sonidos muy cercanos. Más de una hora repleta de grandísimas bandas de América Latina y España de los años 60.

En el podcast se habla del servicio militar en España que tantos grupos musicales desgajó. El carácter obligatorio de la mili terminó en España en 2001.

Eddie Piller, DJ británico presentador de programas de radio, fundador y director de Acid Jazz Records y cofundador del fanzine de Mod Revival Extraordinary Sensations, ha publicado en 2022 una recopilación de cien temas, que mezcla grupos de referencia, como Small Faces, The High Numbers, The Action, The Fleur De Lys con futuras estrellas David Bowie, Rod Stewart, Elton John, Marc Bolan y bandas raras, bajo el título British Mod Sounds of the 1960s, que refleja la variedad de sonidos que recoge el término Mod. Lou Reed nos dejó el 27 de octubre de 2013. Recuperamos algunos de sus discos. Sus inicios con The Velvet Underground, su despegue en solitario desde Londres con el disco Transformer, producido por David Bowie, con portada de Mick Rock de cuya muerte nos enteramos al acabar el programa y también autor de la portada del álbum Coney Island Baby. Una extensa discografía, imposible de abordar en una hora de programa.

Una vuelta al underground neoyorquino y pinceladas de su vida, algunas de ellas extraídas del libro “Las Transformaciones de Lou Reed” de Victor Bockris, nos conducen hoy en nuestro recorrido por una vida de música, la de Lou Reed.
