The athletic calendar is getting pretty sparse as the spring sports close out their competition for the year.

Jared, Jeff and Paul take the opportunity to review the overall seasons and successes, particularly for Softball and Lacrosse. They also share about ongoing competition for a handful of Track and Field Athletes, and finally, but definitely not any less importantly, they sing the academic praises of the various athletic programs at UofL, and particularly the women's programs.

With just UofL Softball in action this week, it's a pretty short list of topics. The guys talk about the loss in the NCAA opener and briefly look ahead at Saturday's continuing games. After that, there is basketball and volleyball national team news before final thoughts.

The end of the 2022-2023 athletic year is almost upon us, but the crew still has events to talk about. After their win streak was halted by three close games on the road to close the season against FSU, Louisville softball was bounced from the ACC tournament in their first game. The crew talks about the last couple of weeks after having last week off for the Kentucky Derby. With other spring sports wrapping up and the softball team awaiting their NCAA tournament fate, there's still plenty to cover.

Louisville softball won their seventh straight game with a run rule of Boston College. They've turned up the heat on the season recently and the crew talks about their successes and prospects going forward. It's impossible to ignore the news of HVL's transfer destination, so they cover that as well, along with a bit of discussion of the current roster.

The gang discusses the results of games from Softball, including a walk-off steal of home - check that off your bingo card if you've got it - a Lacrosse heartbreaker against Cincinnati, and Fall sports exhibition play. They also take a few minutes to share some thoughts about mass shootings in general, and specifically the one that occurred on Monday in downtown Louisville, as it hits close.

There were several other discussions, such as how much success should we expect from Softball playing Oklahoma, the number one team in the country; is this season the time to make a coaching change in Lacrosse; and how and where to find parking today with so many events going on along Floyd Street.

This week's show was a bit derailed by breaking news. Hailey Van Lith has announced that she is transferring from the University of Louisville. Conversation about that development takes up the majority of the show, but the guys manage to look at the recent results and upcoming games for softball and lacrosse.

It may be April Fool's Day, but no tricks here other than an early start because of crew availability reasons. The winters are all over and we talk a bit about the wrap up of UofL basketball for the season. Daryl goes on an excellent rant about TV coverage and officiating handling of media darling players.

We talk about Softball, and some of the players that are stepping up and having an impact for Holly Aprile's team, Lacrosse, and a bit about Volleyball spring exhibition play.

Louisville took a big win over Ole Miss in the NCAA Tournament Sweet Sixteen Friday night and advance to the Elite Eight against Iowa. The crew talks about that game in depth with passing discussions of Lacrosse and Softball as well.

Softball played a double-header on Friday night and won them both. In addition to those games, the Cards also had a busy a lacrosse week but the big news of the week is the NCAA tournament starting. The crew discusses the games underway and the early results of the NCAA Pick 'Em Challenge.

As we move into March, spring sports are in like a lion just like the weather. Softball and lacrosse have been busy, so the crew gives them their props, while basketball awaits their fate from the selection committee. As in the old days in the basement on Crescent Hill, Paulie, Jeff, and Case spend half their time talking about something other than their planned topics.
