  • Why second-guessing your career moves is normal, but not necessary

Doubt is a close companion to every career move I make. I question whether or not it's the right time to switch jobs, if I chose the right organization, if I'm truly cut out for whatever it is I've decided to do. I wonder what my family and friends will think, what the future implications will be, or if I'll regret it.

In today's episode, I open up about a particular career move that caused me to second-guess my decisions to leave a job and take another one. And I offer my perspective on why second-guessing yourself is normal, but not necessary.

In today's episode, I share a couple pros and cons of going to college, along with some alternative options. My advice? Dip your toe before you dive in.

  • From learning to doing: take action to get unstuck

Just last month, I made the decision not to renew my business coaching membership after six months of learning alongside other new entrepreneurs. Why? Because I realized I was using learning as an excuse to delay action in growing my own business. It was easier to say I wasn't ready and to collect information from experts than it was to try and to fail and to try again.

But progress and success happen in the doing.

In today's episode, I discuss the different ways we get stuck in learning mode and unintentionally stall our progress, whether at work or in the job search process. And I connect the dots between comparison and momentum.
