In this weekly update we will be diving in and sharing some short updates on some new changes reported within companies in response to COVID- 19 and various companies that will be hiring in the future as well as highlighting the University of Washington Virtual Career Fair that has attracted a large group of employers that are eager to engage with our husky community.
This episode we will be talking with a fellow Career Coach Dawn Cheung to learn more about her background in communications, social work, AmeriCorps and Prada as well as what goes into applying for Law School as a UW student.
In this new segment we will be talking about the weekly updates that are happening in all of our interest communities and industries of interest as well as some updates on what the Career and Internship Center is doing in response to supporting the UW community with Career and Internship related programming.
In this episode we are going to be talking to Lindsay Smith, our Handshake Experience Manager, about her career path and how she found her way into the Career and Internship Center as well as all of the things you can do and access with Handshake as well as some big things that you might not have known about from the person who oversees the platform for UW.
In this episode we will be talking about Internship with our Internship specialist on staff, Dan Herb. We will start out learning a bit about Dan's background and how he got to be with us at the Career and Internship Center and then we will dive into what the big things to know about applying and working an internship for students and alumni but also what makes a great place for an internship that employers could implement in their practices.
In this episode we will be introducing our podcast as well as meeting with Kaeline Kine, our most front facing staff member, to talk about what the Career and Internship Center is and does as well as how we are responding to our current world to continue to provide services and assistance to the students, alumni, staff, employers, and community members that engage with us.
