What is your care work fueled by?
Desperation, fear, urgency, and survival?
Or inspiration alongside the burnout? Rest alongside the urgency? Joy alongside the fear?
In this episode of CareFull Practices, Ryder Fox discusses a different side of care work: rather than care driven by reaction and the urgency of survival needs, they explore care that is sustaining, inspiring, and joyful. When care is so integral in our survival, it's often fueled by our desperation, fear, or anger. It ends up burning us out, and leaving us so deeply depleted. Yet it often takes intentional practice to shift care out of survival mode, and into something that feels aligned and meaningful.
In this episode, we invite you to notice moments of care that nourish you, and begin to lean into those - holding the joy, connection, or creativity alongside pain or suffering that needs to be honored too.
