"Cheapeake Bay Reggae Fest (CBRF)  thank you all for coming out to the 7th Annual Music Festival. The event  was held on May 20-21st, 2017 at Mill Point Park, on the beautiful shores of the  Historic Chesapeake Bay Hampton ,Virginia .The festival’s acts include reggae icons Keith Poppin, The Cables, Marcia Atkins and more.  The two day festival  over 50k music lovers .  Fans was rocked to great music, and a gathering of many different cultures, foods and drinks: fine cuisine from Jamaica jerk chicken, curry chicken,oxtail and many other popular Jamaican dishes,local Sea Food ,Spanish food, arepas, pizza,  fresh salads and vegetarian food.

The storm is nothing but my playground,

Jimmy Cliff, a true legend, is a perfect example of this diversity, and today's show will take the time to explore his talent. Ska Beat is a British label that recorded many of the very early Jamaican artists reaching out for a new career. We can say career today , but back then it was driven by a deep feeling inside, coming from the soul, believing but not knowing, just having faith. Who coined the word "SKA". Many claim ownership, even more claim to know, but one thing is sure, it comes from the unique strum of the guitar, so maybe the guitar owns the copyright on the word, ska.
