What has Christ purchased for you by His death- For many, it is primarily forgiveness. Forgiveness of sin is indeed a great blessing, but to stop there is like opening one box of your possessions off the moving truck. There is so much more for us to enjoy, both now and in glory. The Apostle Peter speaks of some of the riches we now have in Christ. Death to sin, living to righteousness, and healing of the worst disease anyone has ever had. All this is ours and more through Him who loved us and gave Himself for us on the cross.

Many people say they are looking for Jesus to return one day. But for the Apostle Paul, the Day of the Lord was not just a doctrine to be believed, it was an impetus to change the way we live.
