Over the last three years, Carlos Anguiano has gone from Timbers academy hopeful, to United Soccer League debutant, to consistent contributor for Timbers 2 to now, when he’s holding down a starting spot in head coach Cameron Knowles’ midfield. Still only 19 years old, Anguiano is enjoying his first full season as a professional, having turned down an opportunity to go the college route this fall and taken to leap up from Salem to pursue his dreams full time in Portland.
Last week in Beaverton, Breaking Lines caught up with the T2 midfielder, who has become key cog in the team’s pursuit of a second-straight postseason berth.
