Dieses Mal treffe ich mich mit Marco Rota am digitalen Lagerfeuer, zu späterer Stunde. Marco besuchte Das neue Heidi-Musical und erzählt uns, was das mit ihm gemacht hat und wir sprechen darüber, was die Schweiz in modernen Geschichten für eine Rolle spielen kann.
Es geht auch um Autos. Um moderne, futuristische Modelle und um Abenteuer auf der Straße mit einem alten Campingbus. Passt voll in den Urlaubsmonat Juli. Und wer mit Lagerfeuer, aufgehendem Mond und Campingbus noch nicht in Urlaubsstimmung ist – wir kramen auch noch etwas Garn hervor und knüpfen was Schönes.
Im Juni habe ich von meinen Robinson-Wochen in den Slow-Down-Modus geschalten.
Außerdem war ich mit Marco am Kinder Lesen – Kinder- und Jugendbuchfestival in Zürich.
Kunst und Musik, das gab es im Monat Mai bei mir, kombiniert in einer schönen und stimmigen Präsentation. Marco war auf der Fantasy Basel und hat dort jede Menge Leseproben von seinen Büchern verteilt.
Bei uns beiden gab es neben den vielen Projekten auch Urlaubsfeeling. Während Marco mit seiner Familie im Legoland in einem Hotelzimmer auf Schatzsuche ging, war ich neben und auf dem Wasser unterwegs. Mal mit Fahrrad und mal mit Boot und Fähre.
Und dann gibt es da diese besondere Momente, die uns aus dem Alltag holen und entschleunigen. Momente, in denen wir staunen und in denen vielleicht auch etwas Neues entsteht. Marco hat passend dazu etwas wiederbelebt.
Die Schweiz hat mit Nemo den Eurovision Song Contest gewonnen!
Auch der April bietet aber einiges an Gesprächsstoff.
Neben diesen tollen Erlebnissen sprechen wir in dieser Episode auch über Wandel, neue Erkenntnisse und wichtige Pausen.
In der neuen Episode (ja, EPISODE, nicht Folge) streife ich mit Marco Rota durch die Hallen der Leipziger Buchmesse, zumindest rückblickend im Gespräch. Wir sprechen darüber, warum es wichtig ist, bei solchen grossen Anlässen ganz bei sich zu bleiben.
Zur selben Zeit stand ich auf der grossen Bühne der Revival-Show von MusicStar. Wir reden über 20 Jahre MusicStar, ein Wiedersehen mit Leuten von damals und über die Eindrücke von der Revival-Show.
Außerdem lüften wir das Geheimnis, weshalb die neue EPISODE von Café Utopia immer am 21. des jeweiligen Monats erscheint.
Das gilt für mich und meinen Stammgast Marco Rota, mit dem ich auf den Monat Februar zurückblicke. Wir sprechen darüber, wenn etwas zu Ende geht und Platz für Neues geschaffen wird. Was macht das mit uns und wie gehen wir damit um?
Und wir nehmen euch mit, auf einen Sprung in die Vergangenheit. Während Marco das Finale seiner Moosburger-Buchreihe feiert, die vor 18 Jahren begonnen hat, macht Carmen das runde Jubiläum voll. Vor 20 Jahren ging sie als erste Gewinnerin der Schweizer Castingshow MusicStar hervor. Bereits damals haben sich unsere Wege gekreuzt.
Im Café Utopia spreche ich erneut mit meinem Stammgast Marco Rota. Wir haben beschlossen, dass wir uns jeden Monat treffen, um darüber zu sprechen, was bei uns gerade läuft. Während Marco im Schwarzwald experimentiert hat, wie man wandernd ein Buch planen kann, bin ich im Fenk-Shui-Modus (Achtung Wortspiel!) ins neue Jahr gestartet, bis mich die hektische Realität eiskalt eingeholt hat.
Außerdem haben wir diesmal eine Überraschung aus der Tüte und wir fiebern gemeinsam dem 29. Februar 2024 entgegen. Ein großartiges Datum für uns beide, das mit einer musikalischen Challenge und einem Flashmob verbunden ist.

Café Utopia geht ins nächste Jahr. Mit meinem Stammgast, Buchautor Marco Rota, blicke ich auf das vergangene Jahr zurück. Wir reden über kreative Projekte, kulturelle Erlebnisse, Entdeckungen, Veränderungen, Enttäuschungen und wie es ist, wenn man Dinge alleine für sich macht.
Ich unterhalte mich mit Künstler*innen, Musiker*innen und Kreativen, weil ich selbst eine kreative Person bin und ich grosses Interesse daran habe mich mit anderen kreativen Menschen auszutauschen. Was ist deine Art dich kreativ auszudrücken? Was treibt dich an? Wo ist deine Quelle und was macht dir am meisten Angst?
