Carnage Street

Charlie Adelson, who was recently convicted in the death of his ex-brother-in-law Dan Markel, has been spending a ton of time making collect calls to his mom and dad, Donna and Harvey Adelson, and to his baby mama, and more. He says he feel normal when talking to his family. The calls have been on average around an hour to an hour and a half and he's made multiple calls each day. As I've listened to each and every one of them, I've noticed repeated topics that he keeps ruminating on. It's fascinating to hear what he's thinking now that he's been convicted and sentence to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Allow me to break down the 9 most repeated topics and what Charlie is saying. To me, this is a window into the experience of being sentenced to life...what one thinks right after the sentence, what one worries most about, what it's like to find yourself in a 24/7 observation cell where you can't see out and food is delivered through a small opening in the door. Take a listen.

One of the hitmen who harmed Florida law professor Dan Markel was a gang leader named Luis Rivera. Rivera was pivotal in solving the case. In his interrogation with police, Rivera made it clear that Wendi Adelson, Dan's ex-wife, was aware of the plot to do in Markel and wanted to make sure the hitmen were in town on that day to commit the crime. Allow me to share Luis Rivera's exact words with you and what I think about his testimony.

The person who had the most to gain from professor Dan Markel's death was his ex-wife, Wendi Adelson. Why isn't she behind bars yet? If we look at her behavior during her four-hour police interrogation and her behaviors post Dan's death, she would seem to be, in my opinion, leaking the truth and that is that she likely was involved...allegedly. Wendi Adelson has not been charged in connection with Dan Markel's death, so she is currently an innocent person. These are just my opinions and my speculation.

Many long jailhouse phone calls have been released over the past few days between convicted Charlie Adelson and his now arrested, charged, and jailed mother, Donna Adelson. The calls, which took place post Charlie's conviction and then sentencing to life in prison without the possibility for parole are very telling. The calls reveal so much about the relationship between Charlie and his mom, who has been portrayed as the instigator of the murder-for-hire plot that saw her ex-son-in-law Danny Markel, lose his life in 2014. Allow me to break down one of these 1.5 hour calls in this 28-minute video. You'll laugh a little, cry alittle, and walk away with a better understanding of the Adelsons.

Today, I take a look at what researchers say leads some people in society to become "serialists" like Ted Bundy, Dennis Rader, and more. I will take those tidbits and apply them to both alleged serialist Rex Heuermann and alleged perpetrator Bryan Kohberger. Grab a hot toddy, find a warm seat, and let's chat!

Apparently, serialists enjoy writing to other serialists (or alleged serialists). The Happy Face Serialist, Keith Jesperson, wrote to Rex Heuermann and Heuermann wrote back. Jesperson then spoke about his communications with Heuermann on a podcast. In this video, I break down all the fascinating details about the conversation and what Jesperson feels Heuermann revealed about himself and his thoughts on his case. Take a listen.
