In Episode 695 of The Daily Beaver Morning Show, the hastily-called (damage control oblige) summit between the Government of Canada and First Nations to discuss the way forward on nation-building projects within the context of the recently passed One Canadian Economy Act does not go down as both the Prime Minister and Government had hoped. Met with heavy criticism for being top-down, not coming close to meeting the standard for consultation, and even rather colonial, it exposed the potential limits of the Government's desire for expediency when fundamental principles of participative management are not embedded into the process.
