Serena Musick shares an incredibly honest story of how the Carnivore diet transformed her relationship with food after decades of eating disorders, restriction, and food obsession.

At 53, Serena had spent much of her life battling disordered eating and what she describes as relentless “food noise.” Her journey to Carnivore began unexpectedly, after a severe, lingering taste and smell disorder made most foods unbearable. Ron Karle has lost more than 260 pounds on a Carnivore diet - and his transformation goes far beyond the number on the scale.

After reaching 472 pounds, Ron had become severely limited by his weight. Walking was difficult, arthritis and joint pain restricted his movement, he struggled with carpal tunnel syndrome, and everyday tasks such as putting on his socks, cutting his toenails, shopping for groceries, and climbing stairs had become major challenges.

Then, in April 2024, Ron decided to try Carnivore.

Within weeks, the scale began moving faster than it had during years of calorie restriction. As the weight came off, Ron experienced dramatic improvements in mobility and quality of life.

He went from a 64-inch waist-size pant to a 40, from 6XL shirts to large, and from barely being able to walk to regularly taking mile-long walks, shopping for himself, shoveling snow, and playing guitar for hours again.

What happens when you know your health is heading in the wrong direction, and decide it’s time to change?

Victoria talks with Barb Taylor about her remarkable four-year Carnivore journey.

When Barb started Carnivore, she was overweight, taking three blood-pressure medications, dealing with hypothyroidism and rising blood sugar, with a family history of Type 2 diabetes.

The changes came quickly. Her digestion and breathing improved, her blood pressure dropped enough to discontinue all three medications, and her A1C fell from 6.5 to 5.6. Her blood glucose dropped from 158 to 111.

And then came the weight loss: 93 pounds, and counting.

Barb discovered that dairy was holding back her progress. After removing it, she began losing weight again following a nearly two-year plateau.
