Meet Charlize Matthee, founder of Avalon Grove and certified TRE® provider, who helps neurodivergent individuals build lives that work with their nervous systems, rather than against them.
After receiving an AuDHD diagnosis at 48, Charlize reframed decades of struggles, executive dysfunction, burnout, masking, sensory overload, as signs of a nervous system adapting to survive. TRE® (Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises) became a game-changer, helping her release stored tension and reclaim capacity, presence, and authenticity.
Today, through Avalon Grove, she supports neurodivergent adults, HSPs, and burnout-stricken professionals in creating lives that honour their rhythms. Her work blends TRE®, coaching, and body-based tools to help clients build resilience, confidence, and the courage to live differently.
Because real change isn’t just in the mind, it’s in the body.Long-term NS work for Neurodivergent individuals
Spend time with a practitioner with lived-experience of how overwhelming life can be. Who knows the relief and grief after diagnosis, finally being able to come home to myself with the nervous system education and support of TRE®.
