Alex and Grace travelled down to Rancho Cucamonga to chat with Cory and Cadey Fenn. Cory and Cadey started in ministry in their early 20s, and after 15 years of vocational ministry, they have sooo much knowledge and wisdom to drop on us when it comes to passing on the Gospel. Cory and Cadey have together and separately discipled many, and now as they disciple their kids in their teen years, we had to ask them the question: what does it look like to disciple no matter what season of life you're in?

Jordan travelled to the South with Grace and Shanah, and is a next generation pastor who pastored through the difficult waters of the pandemic. The gals discuss what it actually means to pursue peace in the relationships you are already in, and what it means to engage in healthy conflict resolution.

Joined by mental health clinician and pastor's wife, Jessica Criner gives us a schooling on what it means to be impacted by race induced trauma and church hurt; yet still open to walking with people patiently as they pursue restoration. He talks about his own personal journey to being committed to dreams and vision for his city and his neighbors, talks to us about Asset Based Community Development, and gives some simple yet amazing practical next steps to start caring for those near us that maybe we've turned a blind eye to.

This past February, Grace + Shanah travelled to Jackson, Mississippi to learn from the places and people of the Civil Rights Movement. The girls share a 1,000 foot view of their trip, a bit of framework for this upcoming Peacemaking series, and their personal takeaways that we hope to unpack as we invite more friends in the car to chat through what it means to practice the way of Jesus as a intentional peacemaker.

Today we've got Ka'eo Yoshikawa with us! Ka'eo is a youth pastor with his degree in Arabic (you heard that right). Full of pain and sorrow, Ka'eo's story gives a peek into what it means to believe in the thriving and flourishing that is living with God despite deep brokenness in our past. He also shares with us his thoughts on men/boys having permission to feel their feelings, cultivating deep male friendships, and walking in vulnerability and transparency.

The girls start the episode with some very important at home coffee hacks, pop culture education, and should we all stop drinking out of a straw??
