I get that headlines and the outrageous is what gets people talking... I mean that's what I am doing right now on this podcast episode. However, if electric cars are to really take hold of the mass market, we need these new companies to get away from these outrageous concepts. A $250,000 electric car as your first option is insane, considering the market we are in and who you ultimately want to attract. What would the trickle-down effect be of a niche manufacturer, just starting out, pricing their car for the 1%? How is this sustainable? Where are the actual $40,000 and under electric cars that the masses will buy? The recent backlash towards General Motors is the smoke before the fire. The idea that GM will make a compelling alternative to Apple Carplay or Android Auto within the next 3 years, is laughable at best. It's an insult to our intelligence.
