We end up workshopping one of Tor’s jokes because Carr is allergic to punchlines apparently, we discuss bird lice and bird abortions, and reveal a few little fun things we’ve worked on during Fringe. We’re one week in to Adelaide Fringe, and the boys are over halfway their run of shows. We’ve had hecklers, we’ve had crushfests, and we’ve sunk a lot of piss. Today we’re joined by fellow Fringe artist, Thomas Green to shed a bit of light on his first impressions of Carr. We return to our original podcast format to get this show back on track. We unpack open mic scenes across the globe, discuss whether or not Carr is a clown or a stand-up, and try to workshop a new joke/app idea about rooting. Classy stuff as always, get involved.

One week away from our festival debut, and we are putting our foot to the floor. Both Jake and Carr are very short on time with very cooked schedules, so we managed to sneak in Brett Blake to do this recording at the end of a show. Problem is, we all smashed heaps of tins before it. Strap in for a boozy one, and some hard truths. Blakey lights Carr up like a Christmas Tree, Carr fires back to criticism, and Jake tries his best to just shut his drunk mouth.

We’re nearly there. Mere weeks away from debuting the world’s greatest stand-up show at a festival that is notoriously a shitfight money pit, albeit a very fun one at that. We have returning guest, Ben Knight, back on the podcast to offer some insight almost eight months after we first spoke to him.
