Carr Stereo Podcast

I LOVE finding new killer bands . LOVE!  I discovered Corvus Lore about a year ago and started deep diving into their catalog and was blown away.

You can't put your finger on it, the sound is all theirs. There are 90's moments, blazing solos, introspective times and an "interesting" musical journey.

The band has released their third - BURY THE BEAUTY and in this episode I catch up with Ryan Jones (Vocals) and Eric Frasier (Guitar) for an album deep dive and get a feel for who these guys are as musicians and artists.

Looking for a real deal band? Meet Eric and Ryan from Corvus Lore.

Zahna is Metal's new Queen and her talents and tenacity take her way beyond the Christian Metalcore scene she has dominated.

Everyone told me how much I would love interviewing Zahna and I really did. She has so much to say and her energy is infectious.

We discuss bouncing back from a life altering illness, teaming up with a member of Korn for a new album, touring with her idol  (this summer) and finding your own unstoppable power. Can't wait for ZAHNA Part 2!

This week I'm excited to welcome one of my favorite have vocal hitters to Carr Stereo- Armored Saint, Anthrax and Category 7 singer JOHN BUSH- who discusses the new Armored Saint release - "Emotion Factory Reset", the whacky music business and his "soulful" approach to Metal.

LOVED picking John's brain, he is so insightful and fun to deep dive with!

There is something special about being in the space where an artist creates their music. And in this week's episode, that's what I did!

I headed  to Des Rocs Queens New York studio to celebrate the release of his third album - TO HELL AND BACK - (Out  6/12) on Sumarian Records  and we album deep dive, discuss how Danny became Des, staying true to your art, opening for your heroes  and more.

AND with all the guitars and gear around, Des treats us to an acoustic version of "This Land" and plays us out with his electric magic.

It's a special "Record Release Edition" of The Carr Stereo Podcast-  Enjoy.

LEGEND ALERT! When you hear that Phil Collen (Def Leppard) and Paul Cook (Sex Pistols) are checking in life is GOOD!

Phil and Paul have been in the band MANRAZE (their side project) for more than 20 years (along with Bassist Simon Laffy who was in GIRL with Phil) and this killer trio is combining all of their influences and musical inspirations. Cool thing?

They just released LOCK STOCK & BARREL-  a 5 CD boxed set that gives the fans a FULL look and listen - The MANRAZE experience if you will.

The first two albums, an instrumental, live performances and "unreleased and unleashed"  a full disc or rarities and songs that never appeared on a Manraze album.

We discuss power trios, making music with friends and why the London influence still fuels them.

Loved this conversation with Phil Collen and Paul "Cookie" Cook.

Rock Royalty, Legends, Great Guys.

Conversation's with LJ from Sevendust are always like a catch up with an old friend.  That's what makes them special for me.

Sevendust has been an Active Rock force for close to 30 years and their 15th release "ONE" is out and is dazzling. To me, their best yet.

One of rock's greatest live bands, one of rock's greatest frontmen.

In this Carr Stereo episode Lajon discusses how making this one felt different vocally, fatherhood and the road, playing a sold out  Madison Square Garden for the first time and his distinct style of "Rhythm and Bang".

LJ  checked in from the road, on the bands bus and I'm always grateful for the time when an artist is on tour. Until next time Lajon!
