  • New Music Discovery with Vengent Strays on the 80's, forging their own path and their "Famous" Fans

Carr Stereo LOVES exposing new talent and Vengent Strays are SO talented! Vengent Strays -  Not just a band - It’s a Movement.  Hailing from California, members  honed their craft as one of SoCal's most popular 80's covers bands (Stay Tuned) and have been described as raw energy, cranked guitars, and unapologetic attitude,  delivering a sound that hits like a shot of adrenaline.

Now it's time to craft their OWN music.

With gritty swagger and an anthemic punch, the band channels classic rock power through a modern lens. Known for electrifying live shows and arena sized hooks

    Vengent Strys Are-

    Thomas Stibbie

    Vocals

    Jacob Stibbie

    Guitar

    London Caswell

    Bass

    Logan Sheppard

    Drums

They have a killer new single - "Passion On The Run" and are young, hungry and talented. What a combination!

  • A Little Bit Country - A LOT Rock N' Roll with Cory Marks

Cory Marks is such a unique artist who combines the songwriting sensibility of country with the loud guitars of rock and metal and the Canadian hit making of Bryan Adams, I first met Cory and saw him live a few years back and was not disappointed. His new release "Sorry For Nothing Volume 2" is out now and we caught up the day before he left for tour with SEVENDUST on the "Southside Double Wide" Acoustic tour.  In this episode we touch on country vs. rock, collaborating with producer Kevin Churko, believing in yourself, Bryan Adams, Rush and more! Check out Cory's catalog and his collaborations with Sully Erna, Ivan Moody, Mick Mars, and Lzzy Hale. You won't be disappointed!

  • Bella Perron On Guitar Inspiration, Crafting Solo Instrumentals and Becoming a Cowgirl

Bella Perron is a fantastic young guitar player who many know from her time with the all female rock band PLUSH, and her current band The Midnight Cowgirls. Bella is branching out and crafting instrumental rockers and in this episode, she discusses reinventing her sound, feel and not being afraid to jump in and take a chance.  We also discuss her new songs "Enlighten" and "Mirrors" and how being an instrumental performer differs than being a band member. Super talented young player and super inspiring for the new generation of rockers for sure.

  • Tonic's Emerson Hart on Nineties Nostalgia and Touring Christmas Riffs With Pals

What a blast catching up with New Jersey's own Emerson Hart from one of the underrated bands of all time- 90's hit makers - TONIC.

Emerson checked in to discuss kicking off a cool holiday tour with his pals Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray and Kevin Griffin from Better Than Ezra as a part of his "Ezra Ray Hart" project - which mixes the catalogs of all three bands with holiday tunes and a few surprises. Emerson also talks about Jersey roots, the special feel of their million selling record "Lemon Parade" surviving the 90's and why being a faceless band of the ear was actually a great thing.

  • New Music Discovery with Jake Diab From Autumn Kings

Love our NMD segments, which introduce you to rockers on the rise and this week Autumn Kings guitarist and co-vocalist Jake Diab hangs to discuss the bands Canadian roots (with flavor from the states) the success of their singles "Sleep when I'm Dead" and "Hellbound", their first European tour, making an investment in your band  and bringing the fun back to rock.

  • Hanging with Des Rocs- The "New" Voice Of New York

Des Rocs is as real as they come when it comes to authenticity in music.

A New York kid (4 generations strong) who was born Danny Rocco, Des first entered my radar in 2018, but it wasn't until I saw him perform live (opening for The Rolling Stones in a stadium!) in 2019, that I started to connect Des with a new sound of New York. We discuss his new tune "This Land" from the Borderlands 4 gaming series, crafting sound, tone, touring, grit and polish and more.

And a new album which is coming in 2026. Thanks for spending your Birthday with me Des!

It's a wild ride with a deep dive conversation with the man who founded and sang the mega rock hits for the band Saliva, Josey Scott.

Josey heads back to the beginning days of starting the band as a preachers kid, getting signed, mega hits, triumph and loss.

And he also discusses his future with two BANGING new tunes - "Famous" and "Who" - and celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Saliva's platinum second release - "Every Six Seconds" with a tour - performing the album in it's entirety live.

  • Vernon Reid On His New Release "Hoodoo Telemetry" and ROCK

Most know Vernon Reid from his band Living Colour and his various guitar projects, but his deep dive into his new release - "Hoodoo Telemetry",  radio, The Black Rock Coalition (which he founded in 1985) , his love of Ernie Isley, fragmenting artists in the music biz and on the radio, rebellion and the Satantic Panic in music and more, made this one of the most amazing Carr Stereo chats.

Vernon is a guitar goat, a crafter of sound and a fantastic hang.

    Enjoy!

Dinosaur Pile-Up is such an epic band- Hailing from the UK, their brash, quirky, unique vibe is contagious! So where have they been?
