In February of 2024, a beautiful young nursing student was murdered in Georgia while out for a run. The suspect was a man who was in the United States illegally. He was found guilty of the murder and Laken’s case caused controversy and debate around the country. In January of 2025, The Laken Riley Act was signed into law by the president. Laken’s family have started a foundation in her name to honor her life and legacy. This week we will discuss the tragic death of Laken Hope Riley, and the investigation and trial of Jose Ibarra.
